Gray Thomas and Bryan Gowdy, along with a team of other attorneys, assisted on a pro bono basis in the successful plea deal for Cristian Fernandez, who as 12-year-old was charged in adult court for first degree murder. You can read more about the resolution of the case at Jacksonville.com.
D. Gray Thomas joined Creed & Gowdy, P.A. as of counsel
effective February 1, 2013. Mr. Thomas is a board-certified
appellate specialist. With the addition of Mr. Thomas, Creed &
Gowdy has three of the four board-certified appellate specialists
in Jacksonville who are in private practice. Mr. Thomas, a 1992
graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, has
more than twenty years of legal experience. In addition to handling
appeals and matters likely to be appealed, Mr. Thomas handles
matters of criminal defense, civil rights, and bar admissions and
discipline. Mr. Thomas will continue to maintain his own firm, the
Law Office of D. Gray Thomas, primarily for his non-appellate
work.
Bryan Gowdy will be a panel speaker at the Eleventh Circuit Appellate Practice Institute in Miami on February 7, 2013. The panel will be addressing electronic filing, expanded record excerpts, and other requirements in Eleventh Circuit practice.
